One of the simplest, most-used objects in existence
It is complex in its simplicity and almost magical,

yet it is taken for granted ---
like everything else is taken for granted.
Love, anger, devotion, friendship, trust, freedom.
The ignorance of humanity is a plague on our spirituality.
Our dreams become nightmares, our hopes --- desolation.

Our greatest fears swallow us completely,
leaving nothing but a flesh and blood robot.
Our aspirations are allowed to dissipate, or rather ---
We allow our aspirations to be dissipated.

What kind of fools are we?
To allow others to control our lives?
What we say, who we are, what we believe, what we feel.
We allow the only things we ever truly possessed
to be yanked out from under our feet, leaving us sitting,
dumbfounded and confused,
alone in the middle of an infinite occupation of space.

Where there's nothing to breathe, nothing to reach out and hold.

Only infinite blackness.
