Feelings circle my heart - a drain ready to swallow them up for good
Not to absorb them, nourish them, help them be reborn
But to hide them away
A miser with his money, clutching desperately
Petrified of sharing, losing
Not realizing that sharing, rather than depleting him, would bring abundance
A cornucopia of wonder, experience, connection, love...
One gets what one freely gives
Expecting - not reciprocation - but acceptance
As freely received as proffered
A child kissing his father
A dog lying at his master's feet
A man tenderly caressing his lover's cheek
A smile on the face of a stranger
Gifts, all...
If we snub a gift given, we rob others of pieces of themselves
Callous thieves in this heinous dichotomy, robbing others' joy
Accept. Give. Freely.
